Trailside Nirvana in Mountain Village, Telluride
Overview
Built from the Fir timber beams of an ancient Japanese temple, Trailside Nirvana is unlike any other home in Telluride. Designed by architect Michael Fuller and decorated by Laura Schwendt, the architecture and finishes of this sprawling home incorporate timeless handmade craftsmanship and peaceful FengShui principles. Perched trailside on the Telluride Ski Resort, you'll have easy access to all of the mountain top action- including exclusive access to Upper Sundance- while still remaining removed and secluded on over two acres of land and your own private, four-bedroom sanctuary.
Elegant Japanese Influences Throughout
Taking inspiration from traditional Japanese architecture, the front façade of Trailside Nirvana boasts massive wood beams, wood joinery practices, and even a gong. Dramatic mirrored statues welcome you into the formal living area, where gigantic wood beams continue throughout the vaulted ceiling, and the walls are adorned with eye-catching, contemporary artwork.
Elegant sofas face one another and surround the stone fireplace, while through the windows you can gaze out at the show-stopping mountain peaks in the distance. A cozier, more casual lounging space lies just around the corner with a plush sectional sofa, armchair, fireplace, and HDTV. There's also a media room with a super-comfy sofa/day bed and a huge HDTV...
